Protection that lasts for years

We treat your facade as what it really is: a building component under constant strain. After cleaning, and matched to the substrate, we apply a durable, water-repellent yet breathable system. That keeps the wall colour-stable and dry, without trapping moisture from the inside.

In exposed coastal locations in particular, the choice of product decides whether a coating lasts three years or twelve. We give you honest advice on which system is genuinely worth it for your property.

Substrate first

No coat of paint without a solid base

Every facade job with us begins with an honest survey of the existing condition. The surface is cleaned, and loose or chalking old coatings are removed. We open up cracks and seal them permanently, while damaged render is repaired or renewed. Only once the substrate is sound and primed does the actual painting begin.

This step is unspectacular – but it decides everything. A carefully prepared wall carries the coating for years; a poorly prepared one will let even the most expensive paint flake off again.

Anyone painting on Mallorca has to work against these three stresses – otherwise no coating will last.

☀UV radiation

The intense sun fades unsuitable paints within a few years. We rely on UV-stable, colour-fast systems that hold their tone for the long term.

≈Salt air

The salty sea breeze works its way into open pores and attacks render and paint – especially close to the coast. Dense, water-repellent coatings provide protection.

☂Rain

Heavy but infrequent autumn rains quickly turn cracks and weak spots into a problem. We seal them before they can cause damage.

◇Moisture from inside

A good system keeps water out while letting water vapour escape from within – so the wall stays permanently dry.

Facades – good to know

Which paint lasts longest on Mallorca?

UV- and weather-resistant facade paints are key, as they have to withstand sun, salt air and rain. Depending on the substrate we use mineral systems (e.g. silicate-based) or high-quality silicone-resin paints – both colour-stable and durable.

How often does a facade need repainting on Mallorca?

Depending on the location and product, roughly every 7–12 years. Coastal facades are under greater strain from salt air and should be checked more often.

Do you also repair cracks and render damage?

Yes, repairing cracks and render is part of facade renovation and is included in the fixed-price quote.

Do you need scaffolding?

For multi-storey facades scaffolding is usually required and is included in the quote. For lower buildings a ladder or work platform is often enough.

When is the best time of year?

Dry spells with moderate temperatures are ideal – above all spring and autumn. In high summer we paint early in the day to avoid the direct midday heat.
