A wall becomes a design feature

Decorative finishes turn a plain surface into something special. Each surface is built up in several hand-applied layers, which gives it a living, deep and high-end appearance – an effect that no ordinary paint can achieve. Depending on the light, the same wall can look soft and matt or gently luminous, so the result feels different from morning to evening. We advise you on the technique, the colour and the finish, take the time to understand the room and the look you are after, and on request prepare a sample panel beforehand so there are no surprises.

Why it works so well on Mallorca

Without tile grout lines there are no joints where dirt or mould can take hold – a clear advantage in the damp winter months. When properly sealed, microcement and lime surfaces are water-repellent, abrasion-resistant and easy to clean.

At the same time, the warm, natural tones blend harmoniously into the style of a finca or villa – timeless rather than fashionable. Because the material flows seamlessly across walls, floors and shower areas, even smaller rooms feel calmer and more generous, and the finish ages gracefully instead of dating quickly.

How the depth is created

A high-quality surface is not produced in a single pass. We prepare the substrate perfectly smooth and apply the material by hand in several thin layers. Each layer is worked, left to dry and, in part, smoothed or polished before the next one follows.

Decorative finishes – good to know

What is microcement?

Microcement is a thin, seamless coating for walls, floors and bathrooms. It is hard-wearing, waterproof and looks modern and Mediterranean at the same time.

Is stucco suitable for the bathroom too?

Yes. Lime-based techniques and microcement regulate moisture and – when properly sealed – are well suited to bathrooms and shower areas.

Can microcement be applied over existing tiles?

In many cases, yes. On a sound, well-bonded substrate microcement can be applied directly over old tiles – which saves tearing them out.

Is microcement on floors walkable and scratch-resistant?

Yes. On floors we apply microcement at a suitable thickness and give it a hard-wearing seal.

Can I see a sample beforehand?

We are happy to prepare a sample panel so you can judge the colour and texture before the work begins.
